My style round up at #Blogfest16

It’s rare that I flick through magazines for style inspiration. These days, its more about seeing what people are wearing out and about. Instagram is also a good one for ideas. It’s not so much about trends for me but how people are putting their outfits together. At #Blogfest16 the other weekend, I spotted some great style gems. It was also a good opportunity to chat to people and find out about their blogs. Check out their blogs if you get a chance…

Button-up! It’s all about buttoned up shirts for ladies too. Checked shirt dress from George, worn by Jeni from Where I Write

Zoo-chic…I’m a big fan of animal print. Kitten dress worn by Talya from motherhoodtherealdeal.com (left), brown leopard print dress worn by Charlie from messandmerlot.com and leopard print tote bag from Scamp and Dude worn by Nicola from toomuchmotheringinformation.com (right).

Sweater love…It’s all about the sweaters, all year round. Mark from ladbaby.com was proudly sporting his Selfish Mother sweater (with his lovely lady, left) and Aly from allmumstalk.com with her #Instamummy sweater from Gigi Loves Blake, skirt from Coast and Topshop boots. Sweaters look great with pretty feminine skirts too. I love wearing mine with my pleated and pencil skirts.

Metallic kicks…Silver ASH high tops worn by Amy from nomoreshoulds.com, gold Reebok classics worn by Helen from Scummy Mummies and dark silver brogues worn by Sarah from sarahrosegregory.co.uk Metallic shoes are here to stay. Remember bright coloured or metallic shoes work just fine with black tights.

Sequins, sequins…Sequins work great with casual outfits too. They’re an easy way to jazz up daywear. Why save your sequins for a special occasion? Blue sequin jacket from Topshop is worn by Jenna from thelifestyleiscalling.com (right), green sequin jacket from Primark worn by Charlotte over at charlottethemagpiemama, H&M black sequinned leggings worn by Jess from @theonlygirlinthehouse. Sequinned jewelled breton top worn by Alison from notanothermummyblog.com (left)

On or over the knee…Black midi dress from Teija and  Air and Grace silver brogues worn by Rachel from thelittlepip.com. (I saw the Air and Grace stand at Stylist Live and so check out their site if you love really comfortable slick shoes). Denim dress from Whistles worn by Helen over at gumdropsandthebear.com It’s all about the layering in the wintery months. Long sleeves look perfect underneath short sleeved dresses. This layering also adds more wearability to your wardrobe and lets you wear outfits all year round.

Ankle boots envy…Last but not least, I’ve spotted these studded ankle boots around a few places recently. Then I saw Steph from dontbuyherflowers.com at her talk and the one question I wanted to ask her was “where are your boots from?”. They also look great in black with the gold studs. These Lucky Charm ankle boots are from Office. Check out Steph’s site for the best gift boxes for new mamas and pals.

And where’s my peach pleated skirt huh?! 😉 You’re so good at the style thang, both capturing it, and wearing it! I’m always confused with the skirt/sweater combo, not sure I can pull it off. But then skirt, cardy seems pretty old fashioned hmmm… What do you reckon? x

It was all so stylish wasn’t it? I loved Charlie from Mess and Merlot dress, and Helen from Gum Drops and Bear dress too. So many gold shoes as well. Looking back now I don’t think I was stylish enough. Great post Sunita, a different take on #Blogfest16. Thanks for linking up at #fortheloveofBLOG. Claire x
